I am incredibly humbled and honored that Tech Times featured me and my personal journey on their homepage. This news story is deeply personal, and it reminds me of the determination I forged through tackling those early challenges. All of it led to where I am today. Reflecting on my start as a Black kid in 1980s Detroit, I remember feeling the breadth of the digital divide early on. I was hustling for screen time at my friends' houses just to mess around with their computers.

I'm immensely proud to have been part of launching s6, a pioneering tech firm in 1990s Detroit. Our company believed in Black ownership and equity 30 years ago, setting new standards and redefining what was possible for future generations. Today, that spirit stays strong as I focus on creating compelling online experiences and transforming the digital landscape.

Reading the article reminds me of some of the pivotal moments and challenges I faced along the way, from gaining access to the Internet at U of M to launching Detroit’s first tech startup in 1994. It has been a journey of constant learning.

After working in the corporate world for the last 20 years, the pull back to entrepreneurship has been undeniable. Game design is a passion of mine, and the industry needs people with unique ideas and points of view. I have always loved video games, and a few conversations with a fellow Detroiter illuminated for me the fact that game design isn't just code; it's about crafting immersive experiences. Now, with a degree in Game Art and Development, I get to pursue that vision full-time at Elephant & Falcon™.

The Tech Times article touches on a crucial realization: the digital divide today isn't about access, but motivation. My goal, born from the challenges of limited tech access early in life, is to close the engagement divide and show people the value of engaging with technology the right way. It's a genuine honor to see my story online and share this vision.
